Longman
Cornerstone and Longman Keystone: Success Stories
Tara Maceyak, K-6
Marketing Manager
Last
month, I talked about Longman
Cornerstone (grades K-5) and Longman
Keystone (grades 6-12), whose goals are to:
- accelerate academic
achievement through explicit instruction in reading, listening,
speaking, and writing,
- develop transferable
cross-curricular academic
skills through connected learning opportunities, and
- provide both
teachers and students with an easy-to-use roadmap to academic success.
This month, I wanted to bring you up to date on who is using Cornerstone and
Keystone.
Pearson Longman is pleased to announce two major state adoptions:
- The California Department of
Education has adopted Longman Keystone for Reading Intervention
(Program 4) and Reading Intervention for English Learners (Program 5)
for grades 4-8.
- The Florida Department of
Education has adopted Longman Cornerstone (elementary ESOL), Longman
Keystone (English/Language Arts through ESOL), and Longman Keys to
Learning (Developmental English through ESOL).
