PTE
Academic — The Students' Choice!
Kelsey P. Miller, Senior Marketing
Manager, Americas, Pearson Language Tests
The
new Pearson Test of
English Academic(PTE
Academic) offers non-native English speaking students a more
accurate and authentic measure of their language ability. As they
register for this engaging new test, test takers are learning
that it offers a number of additional benefits over other
assessments.
Convenience
Students can register to take the test at a time and location
that are convenient for them. As test centers continue to open
across
the country and around the globe — for example, Anaheim (CA) opened
on October 27 with the first test offering —
students can find a test
session that fits their schedule.
Once students have taken the test, they'll receive their
results online in about five business days. No more waiting around
impatiently for paper results to come in the mail!
Opportunity
Prestigious institutions around the world now accept PTE Academic
scores. These programs are looking to improve their admissions process
with a test that will more accurately predict the real-life language
ability of test takers.
When students submit PTE Academic scores to
these institutions, they know that their scores will be held in the
highest regard. And they can use their PTE Academic scores to study
anywhere in the world in program that uses English a the language of
instruction.
Confidence
With PTE Academic online practice tests — and the
Official Guide to PTE:
Academic, published by Pearson Longman — students can
be
confident that they have the English skills to succeed on the test . . . and in the classroom!
