Unit 1 - Hello!

Songs, Chants, and Teacher Talk	This is (red) Say hello/good-bye to me. Let’s get (crayons). Let’s pick (colors). This is how we work and play on our special project day.
Classroom English and Kinesthetic Language	Point to (red). Show me (blue circles). Find (yellow). Paint. Draw a line. Thank you.

Unit 2 - My Family

Vocabulary	baby, dad, family, mom colors; shapes (brother, sister, friend)
Structures	Yes. No. my (mom) I’m (Mom).
Songs, Chants, and Teacher Talk	Who is it/this? Look at me. This is (a family). Is it (the mom)? It’s (the mom). Is this (the sister)?
Classroom English and Kinesthetic Language	Open/Close your book/eyes. Touch (red). Stand up. Sit down. Raise your hand. Put your hand down.

Unit 3 - My House

Vocabulary	bathroom, bedroom, house, living room; bathtub, bed, sofa up, down; colors; shapes; family words (chair, door, window)
Structures	This is (the bedroom). Yes. No. my (bed)
Songs, Chants, and Teacher Talk	Let’s clean the living room. Dance (with me). Here’s (the bed). (Mom) is in (the bedroom). What’s this?

Unit 4 - My Body

Vocabulary	arms, body, head, legs please; colors; shapes; house words (eyes, mouth, nose)

Unit 5 - Food

Unit 6 - Animals

Unit 7 - My Toys

Vocabulary	ball, drum, teddy bear, train; big, small mom, dad; animals; parts of the body; colors; numbers ( boat, hula hoop, jump rope)

Unit 8 - Having Fun!

Vocabulary	clown, costume, pirate, princess; five; pink; crown; castle, ship, tent Review all vocabulary from Units 1–7. (hat, prince, shoes)
Structures	I see (a clown). This is (my costume). I’m (a pirate). It’s (a clown). Yes. No. (two) (princesses)
Songs, Chants, and Teacher Talk	What costume? How many drums? Who do you see? What color? I have (a black hat).
