Pocahontas

Peter Pan

Based on true events, Pocahontas tells of the conflict between English settlers in Jamestown, Virginia, and a local tribe of Native Americans, the Powhatan.

Pocahontas, an adventurous Powhatan girl, goes everywhere with her two friends, Meeko the raccoon and Flit the hummingbird. She visits the tree spirit, Grandmother Willow, to learn about her future. Soon she meets John Smith, a brave English captain. As Pocahontas teaches Smith to understand and respect the natural world, the two of them fall in love.

The English settlers are led by the greedy Governor Ratcliffe, who is determined to find gold in this new homeland. He is convinced that the Powhatan are hiding their gold. One day, Kocoum, a Powhatan brave, is killed by the inexperienced Englishman, Thomas. To protect him, John Smith allows the Powhatan to believe that he was the one responsible for the brave’s death. Smith is sentenced to die. Pocahontas begs her father, Chief Powhatan, to let Smith live. She feels that her future lies in keeping the peace between her tribe and the English settlers. Her father relents, and in this way, Pocahontas saves John Smith’s life.

At that moment, the furious Ratcliffe fires his weapon at Chief Powhatan. John Smith bravely throws himself in the path of the bullet, saving the chief. Wounded, Smith must return to England. But his love for Pocahontas is forever.

Hercules

Peter Pan

There is rejoicing on Mount Olympus when a son is born to Zeus and Hera, king and queen of the gods. They name the baby Hercules. Only Hades, the god of the Underworld, is unhappy. He hopes to become the king of the gods, but the three prophesying witches known as the Fates tell him that Hercules could ruin his plans.

Hades orders his two incompetent servants, Pain and Panic, to kidnap and get rid of the baby.  But they fail in their mission, and Hercules is found and adopted by an elderly human couple.

Growing up among humans, Hercules innocently creates havoc and destruction with his phenomenal strength. He learns of his real identity from a statue of Zeus.  Hercules is given a magical flying white horse, Pegasus, and a personal “hero trainer” the satyr Philoctetes – or Phil.  Phil makes Hercules train long and hard. The young hero eventually proves himself by rescuing the beautiful maiden Megara, who secretly works for Hades.

Hades sends a series of monsters to attack Hercules.  Hercules defeats them all and becomes a celebrity. To complicate matters, Hercules and Megara fall in love. But Hades has one more sinister scheme. He sets free the fearsome Titans to destroy Olympus, and tells Hercules that Megara has betrayed him. In the final struggle, Hercules risks losing his god-like powers- and even his life- to save Megara. Ultimately, the wicked Hades is defeated and peace is restored.

Aladdin

Peter Pan

In the ancient city of Agrabah lives a clever boy named Aladdin. He is very poor and lives off food that he finds in the marketplace. He promises his pet monkey Abu that things will be different one day. And they are! One day, he meets and falls in love with Jasmine, the beautiful daughter of the Sultan. Jasmine wants to escape from life in her father’s palace.

Evil Jafar, the Sultan’s adviser, tricks Aladdin into stealing the magic lamp from the Cave of Wonders. Jafar plans to use the lamp to seize the throne from the Sultan. But Aladdin keeps the lamp—with the Genie inside it.

Upon release from the lamp, the fast-talking Genie gives Aladdin three wishes. For his first wish, Aladdin becomes “Prince Ali Ababwa” to impress Jasmine. However, Jasmine thinks Ali Ababwa is just another self-important prince, and she is not interested. It takes a moonlight ride on the Magic Carpet with Aladdin for Jasmine to realize that she is falling in love.

Jafar has his guards capture Prince Ali and throw him off a cliff into the sea. Aladdin uses his second wish to save himself from drowning. Aladdin abandons his disguise and, with the help of the Genie, battles courageously to defeat Jafar’s evil plans. As a reward for his bravery, Aladdin receives the title of prince, and Jasmine confesses her love for him. Aladdin uses his last wish to free the Genie.

Lilo & Stitch

Peter Pan

Lilo is a lonely little girl who has lived with her big sister, Nani, ever since their parents died. She lives in Hawaii and dreams of finding her own special friend. Stitch is an alien—the result of a dangerous experiment by a mad scientist named Jumba Jukiba, who calls his creation “Experiment 626.” Stitch has been sent to Earth, which is an environmentally protected planet.

Lilo adopts Stitch as a pet, thinking he is a playful, mischievous dog that will keep her company. Neither Lilo nor Nani realize that the small, six-legged Stitch was created to be an indestructible fighting machine, programmed to destroy.

The aliens, Jumba and Pleakley, come to Earth to capture Stitch and take him to a distant asteroid prison. Stitch believes that as long as he pretends to be Lilo’s family pet, he will not be caught. The problem is that Stitch has no idea of how a pet behaves. He causes all kinds of trouble by destroying everything he finds. However, over time, Stitch grows to love Lilo because she gives him something that he has never known before: a family and the ability to truly care for someone else.

The Lion King

Peter Pan

Simba, a lion cub, is the son of King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi. Simba lives by Pride Rock on the African plains with his parents, his uncle Scar, Zazu the royal adviser, Rafiki the wise baboon, and other animals, including his best friend, the young lioness Nala.

As a future king, Simba is taught to respect all the creatures around him, as they are all part of nature's "Circle of Life." He knows that one day he will follow in his father's footsteps and reign over the Pride Lands. Now, however, all is not well. Simba's uncle Scar wants to be king and is willing to do anything to gain power.

Scar has an opportunity to gain power by killing Mufasa. He tricks Simba into thinking his father's death is his fault. Scar advises Simba to leave the Pride Lands, and Simba, full of anguish and guilt, obeys.

Exhausted, Simba collapses in the jungle and wakes up to find that Pumbaa the warthog and Timon the meerkat have saved his life. Simba stays in the jungle with his new friends. Time passes and Simba grows to young manhood.

One day, Simba is visited by Nala. She persuades him to return home: the Pride Lands are suffering with Scar as their king. Rafiki convinces Simba that he must now take on his royal responsibilities.

The dry season has left the Pride Lands without water, and the animals are hungry and thirsty. Simba returns to challenge Scar. After a mighty battle, Simba emerges the winner. As Nala reunites with Simba, the rains finally begin, symbolizing a new beginning for all.

A Bug's Life

Peter Pan

A colony of hardworking ants is visited every year by a gang of bullying grasshoppers. Their leader Hopper demands most of the ants’ harvest of food as a tribute.

Princess Atta, soon to take over leadership from the Queen, is anxious to appease the terrifying grasshoppers. However, the real problems begin when Flik, a young inventor, ruins the food tribute for the grasshoppers.

To save the ant colony, Flik goes in search of tough warrior bugs to stand up to Hopper and his gang. Unfortunately, Flik mistakenly enlists a troupe of unemployed circus bugs. The troupe save the little Princess Dot from a huge bird, and briefly become the heroes of the colony.  However, the ants soon discover that the warrior bugs are simply entertainers. Flik and his friends leave the colony in disgrace.

Soon the grasshoppers arrive. Finding no food offering, they threaten to squash the Queen and make the ants their slaves.  Flik and his friends return to save the colony. Now the colony is safe from the grasshopper menace. Flik is everybody’s hero.

The Emperor's New Groove

Kuzco is a rude and spoiled young emperor who thinks only of himself. When he fires his devious chief adviser Yzma, she gives him a potion to drink that turns him into a llama.  Yzma orders her dim-witted assistant, Kronk, to get rid of Kuzco. Kronk puts Kuzco into a sack, but Kuzco escapes in a cart belonging to Pacha, a peasant.

Pacha, a simple man, is surprised to find a llama in the sack. He soon realizes that the llama is actually Kuzco. Pacha wants to help his new friend but, at the same time, he wants to prevent Kuzco from building his dream home in Pacha’s mountain village. The two set out for the palace.

At Yzma’s lab, Yzma shows Kuzco the potion he needs to become human again. Kuzco tries to grab it, but it falls among many identical bottles. Palace soldiers attack, and Kuzco and Pacha throw the bottles at them. They all turn into many kinds of animals, as Kuzco tries to find the right potion.

When there are only two potions left, Yzma falls on top of one bottle and turns into a cute cat. The last bottle returns Kuzco to his human form. Kuzco realizes he has been selfish, and he gives up the dream home he planned to build in Pacha’s village. Instead, he builds a modest hut to be near Pacha, so that he can spend time with his true friend.
