Performance-based Achievement Tests

This download area contains supplementary black-line masters for use with the Literacy Plus A Student’s Book and Teacher’s Edition. In the Teacher’s Edition, you will find detailed lesson plans and teaching instructions for using these tests and worksheets.

The tests are organized by unit. Each unit consists of two files:

1. Instructions. A file containing instructions to the teacher for administering the tests.

2. Tests. A file containing test sheets to be printed out and distributed to students. The following types of tests are included in each unit:

• Test 1. Reviews literacy concepts introduced in the unit. Can be administered to the class as a whole.
• Test 2. Assesses students’ receptive comprehension of new vocabulary and survival language in the unit. Can be administered to the class as a whole.
• Listening-speaking tests. Designed to assess each student’s speaking and aural comprehension. Because the tests must be administered one-on-one, they are considered optional, but they are highly recommended if you want to determine if your students have acquired all the survival language in the unit.
