Seeing
Double: Making Plurals
Goals: to develop vocabulary; to practice using plurals
|
- Write the singular form of a noun on the front of a 3" x
5" card. Include some nouns with regular plural forms and some
with irregular plural forms.
- Divide the class into two teams. Place all the cards in a container
and have members of the two teams take turns choosing a card.
- The first student says the plural of the noun. (Check pronunciation
at this point.) Then he or she spells the word out loud.
- Each team gets one point for each correct pronunciation by a team
member and another point for each correct spelling. The team with the
most points at the end wins.
