What's in This Website
The Reading Skills website is designed to support teachers using any Longman reading skills book. The following key shows how the levels relate to our major reading skills titles, based on vocabulary level.
Each level contains:
• one self-grading vocabulary game
• two downloadable crossword puzzles
• two downloadable word search puzzles
• a self-grading self-test.
Selecting a level from the drop-down menu brings you to a list of links to the individual games and self-tests for the level.
This Reading Skills Companion Website (except for the exercises adapted
from Talk About Trivia) uses a graded, controlled vocabulary for
each level. The vocabulary is based on the Penguin Readers guidelines
for American English. (With thanks to Penguin Longman Publishing for permission
