Unit
7 - The price of fame
Read this article from Time
magazine, which looks at the problems of being a celebrity, focusing
on the life and death of Princess Diana.
Students can
read the information for homework. For the next lesson ask the class
whether the article helped them understand the problems that famous
people have. Do the students feel sympathetic towards famous people
who have trouble with the media – or should they accept this as
part of being famous?
Visit Madame
Tussaud’s London home page to find out more about its wax models
of the rich and famous. The site also includes links to the four
other Madame Tussaud’s museums across the world.
Have your students ever seen any wax models of famous people? What
did they think of them?
