Michael Harris

Michael Harris has taught in Spain, Bolivia and Colombia.  From 1982 to 1992 he taught at the British Institute for Young Learners in Madrid, where he was responsible for setting up the Junior Department (11-14 year olds).  From 1992 to 1996 he also taught English at the University of Alcalá de Henares.  At the moment he is involved in teacher training in Spain and other parts of the world.  Michael is the co-author of World Class (Longman, 1994), Worldcup (Longman, 2000) and the new five-level secondary course Opportunities (Longman, 2002 Website: www.longman.com/opportunities). JJ Wilson

JJ Wilson is a teacher, teacher trainer and materials writer. Originally from the U.K., he has taught – and learned most of life’s more valuable lessons from – teenagers and adults in Egypt, Lesotho, Colombia, the U.K., Italy and the U.S., where he currently lives. He has co-authored a number of ELT courses, including Language to Go, Worldview, and Total English, and worked on the second edition of Postcards, all published by Pearson Education. His short fiction is published by Penguin and Pulp Faction.

Rob Dean

Born in Leeds, England, Rob worked as a teacher of English, director of studies and CELTA teacher trainer in Poland and Malaysia for 12 years.  He also worked in Spain and Slovenia as CELTA trainer.
He joined Pearson Longman in 2007 and worked in Poland for some time.    He is fully conversant with the complete CELTA teacher training syllabus, has worked as a DELTA local supervisor and has run INSET training for teachers in language schools for over 10 years on a wide diversity of topic areas. These have included methodology, language analysis, theories of learning and practical classroom approaches. He is now an international consultant and travels widely giving presentations and seminars.

• “Lima residents” refers to people living in the Department of Lima.
• “Non-Lima residents” refers to people living in Tumbes, Piura, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Ancash, and all the other departments.
