I Spy

Goals: to use visual skills; to practice language

1. Invite the students to play a game of I Spy. Choose an object that the students are familiar with and say, 'I spy something (green).' The students take turns guessing what green object in the room you are thinking of. Model the question, 'Is it the (book)?'
 
2. Play several rounds using the colors red, blue, yellow, green, and orange.
 
3. Then invite the students to take turns leading the game.
