This listening activity will keep your students interested.
They will have to guess which of the facts they hear in an
autobiography are really lies!

Try story-telling with a difference. You give students the
beginning and end of the story and they have to invent the
rest. This activity will give your class plenty of scope for
both speaking and writing.

Get your students working with their imaginations by using
photographs as a stimulus for discussion. They will observe
and describe pictures they have chosen and exchange their
ideas.

The aeroplane, the gun, the television. Have they done more
harm than good? Get your students talking about different
inventions and the effects, both positive and negative, they
have had on the world, with this challenging discussion activity.
Classroom time: 30-50 minutes.

most television sets? Test your students knowledge with this
fascinating quiz on the state of the world.

9: TV Debate
Give your students the chance to take part in a lively debate
on TV and violence. Everyone can have their say, from guests
like a police officer and a film director to parents and 'couch
potatoes' in the studio audience. And the presenter has to
keep order!

10: Freeze Frame
Students who enjoy role-play and drama will love this challenge.
A new take on the game of charades - small groups act out
a situation, then freeze. The rest of the class has to guess
the situation and what the characters are saying.
Classroom time: 20 minutes.
