Diane Hall

Diane Hall is a distinguished figure in ELT and has co-authored Longman Advanced Learners' Grammar and Distinction English for Advanced Learners along with many others. An "eternal student", she has qualifications from an MA to a diploma in Film Studies. Diane is the co-author of the Elementary level of Total English.

 



What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Lying on a beach with my husband, reading a good novel.
 
What has teaching taught you?
Never to underestimate anyone.
 
How did you get into ELT?
I taught a summer course at a Berlitz School after university and decided to train to teach ELT.
 
What is your greatest extravagance?
Expensive shower gels, bath oils and body lotions.
 
What is your favourite word?
Incandescence.
 
What is the trait you most dislike in yourself?
Impatience with others.

The fact that it is truly communicative.
